Telltale Games and Robert Kirkman-creator and writer of The Walking Dead- announced yesterday that the first official trailer for the upcoming Walking Dead videogame is now available to view on their official website. The trailer blends both 2D and 3D elements to a stunning visual that pays homage to the comic series which the game is based on.
“This trailer really shows off how our artists have managed to take the 2D art style of the comic books and create a 3D world allowing fans to truly interact with Robert Kirkman’s world for the very first time,” said Dan Connors, Telltale co-founder and CEO. “We hope that fans will like what they see and be excited by the chance to join the cast of the game; we promise they’ll die horribly!”
The game will be released in 5 monthly episodes on Xbox Live for 400 Microsoft points, the Playstation Network for $4.99, as well as Windows and Mac as a season pass for 24.99. The game for PC will be distributed thru the Telltale online store as well as thru other digital outlets. Telltale has also announced that for a limited time if you pre-order the game thru their official website, not only do you get 10% off the season pass, but you also get a chance to be in the game. The winner will be rendered in game, and brought into the group of survivors in episode 4 and later be turned into a zombie. The Walking Dead videogame is set to be release in late April.
