After running thru the Middle East as Altair, and the cities of Italy and Rome as Ezio, Ubisoft has reveled the time period which Assassin’s Creed 3 will take place. In an unconfirmed image that was leaked it appears that AC3 will take place during the American Revolution.

Now some of you may be saying “yeah well that’s an unconfirmed image. It’s just fan made”. So Ubisoft provided us with the official Xbox 360 box art.

Okay so now that we know that the first image was most likely not fake. Lets talk about what we can tell from the images reveled so far. The first thing you may notice in the first image; the American flag. This flag is known as the 13 star “Betsy Ross” flag; which was flown by the Continental congress between 1777 and 1779. This gives a clue to when the game may be taking place. The hood that the assassin is wearing is not triangular in shape (both Altair’s and Ezio’s hoods were pointed) but has what looks to be a Native American crest of an eagle. Could this new assassin have Native American heritage? The idea of the New Assassin having/being Native American is also pointed to in the fact that he carries a quiver of arrows, which Native Americans were known for. In the box art it appears the assassin is wearing buffalo leather chaps, not only that he is wielding a tomahawk. All evidence that the main protagonist may either be a Native American himself or be some how connected to Native Americans.

In the box art, the assassin is about to kill a British soldier or Redcoat. This may suggest that the Redcoats are in fact affiliated with Abstergo in some way, We know from previous games that George Washington at one point had a piece of Eden. Could this piece of Eden be the “real” reason for the American Revolution? So far little is known about the game but Game Informer (the magazine owned by game stop) has reveled it’s next cover.

Hopefully some of the questions many of us have will be answered in the issue. The first official trailer for Assassin Creed 3 will hit on March, 5 so definitely check that out. Many of us will be waiting eagerly for October,16 when Assassin Creed hits stores here in North America.
